BSM’s Lay-up Services have been specifically designed to support customers where continued operation of the vessel is deemed uneconomical.
From its 11 Ship Management Centres around the world, BSM is able to manage the lay-up process, performing duties such as location selection, declaration for shareholders, ship inspections and assistance with planning for reduced manning or transfer to a cold lay-up.
Our experts are able to advise owners on the lay-up options available and procedures that need to be followed, whether warm or cold lay-up, with the objective being to ensure that the vessel remains secure and well preserved during the idle period whilst reducing ship owners’ costs.
